LEADING THE FORCE: A STRATEGIC GUIDE TO LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN THE PHILIPPINE AIR FORCE
The PAF Leadership Development Program cultivates leadership in the Philippine Air Force through a cyclical approach based on the doctrine of the Philippine Leadership Development Framework. It employs tools to foster leadership culture and measures outcomes against competency standards, which is enhanced through the PAF training system. The program aims to collectively support warfighting capability and leadership philosophy - PAF Mission Command, refining the leadership framework with each experience.
The PAF Leadership Development Program follows a structured process that provides a comprehensive and cyclical approach to developing leadership within the Philippine Air Force. It is founded on the Philippine Leadership Development Framework and is supported by various Leadership Development Tools to ensure that the desired leadership culture and core values are nurtured. The outcome of the tools is measured against established Competency Standards, which are further enhanced through formal training under the organization's various training programs and leadership development projects. The entire process culminates in effective Warfighting capability through PAF Mission Command. The framework is cyclical, with the experiences from Mission Command feeding back into and refining the foundational Leadership Framework.

Leadership Training Modules
PAFLDC remains at the forefront of leadership development, facilitating training modules in PAF Education and Training Institutions. Leadership capacitation is also a part of this element of the approach, ensuring that instructors remain competent in producing leaders who are fully prepared for the pressures of Mission Command.
